Penn Mutual Names Wade Harrison President

Harrison becomes the 20th president in the company's history, bringing extensive life insurance and operating leadership experience

PHILADELPHIA, PA - November 3, 2026 - The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company (Penn Mutual) today announces that Wade Harrison has joined the company as President.

Harrison will lead Penn Mutual's Enterprise Leadership Team and oversee the company's day-to-day business. He will continue advancing Penn Mutual's strategy in service to the financial professionals and policyholders we support.

Harrison brings more than 30 years of life insurance experience to Penn Mutual. Prior to joining Penn Mutual, Harrison served as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Protective Life. Throughout his career, Harrison has held leadership responsibilities spanning all key functions of a life insurer. He also brings experience leading a significant virtual workforce with office locations across the U.S.

Dave O'Malley will continue to serve as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, leading Penn Mutual's governance, investments, and strategy.

Harrison holds a bachelor's degree in actuarial science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
