IMMEDIATE RELEASE February 28, 2026 Statement from Chairwoman Amy Barela on Operation Epic Fury Albuquerque, NM - As reports came in overnight and continue to come in this morning about the coordinated military strikes launched on Iran by the United States and Israel, RPNM Chairwoman, Amy Barela releases an official statement: "As this situation progresses in the Middle East, I pray for the safety and well-being of our military service members, our leaders, and all those who deserve to see justice in Iran," said Chairwoman Barela. "Because of the swift actions by President Trump, Operation Epic Fury makes the world, the United States, and New Mexico much safer as it ensures Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon. I hope all leaders in New Mexico support this action by the Trump administration and see it for what it is: a necessary step to creating peace across the globe." ### |
