HONOLULU, Oct. 7, 2025 - Hawaiian Electric customers experiencing financial hardship due to the ongoing federal government shutdown may be eligible for interest-free monthly installment plans. These options include payment arrangement plans or extensions on their monthly bills.

Hawaiian Electric can also refer customers to financial assistance programs administered by nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Participation in these programs and availability of funding may be limited.
