Pride: In the Name of U2 makes its Sounds of Lewisville debut

Pride: In the Name of U2 will make its Sounds of Lewisville debut on Tuesday, May 19, in Wayne Ferguson Plaza, 150 W. Church Street.

Pride delivers authentic U2 tribute performances with passion and precision. The band performs U2's most iconic songs, connecting fans through music, visual storytelling, and community. Pride celebrates the timeless legacy of U2. They last performed in Lewisville at St. Paddy's Texas Style earlier this year.

Award-winning ukulele artist Jessica Maeve will be the opening act. Check out her performance of The Beatles classic, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," from last year.

Concerts start at 7 p.m. every Tuesday night in May and June. Opening acts will perform 7-7:45 p.m., and headliners will perform 8-9:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed at the shows. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Smoking and vaping are prohibited in Wayne Ferguson Plaza.

The award-winning Wayne Ferguson Plaza is a 1.5-acre urban park that takes on a contemporary sweeping gesture using water to link east to west and united Lewisville City Hall and Lewisville Grand Theater. It features an elevated stage, a multi-level seating area, an interactive splash pad and a garden filled with swathes of native grasses and wildflowers.

To reach the concert sites from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. Lewisville Grand Theater will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Charles streets, or at Lewisville City Hall.
