2025 Hometown Holiday Tree Lighting & Light Up Parade

Celebrate the holidays with the City of Pontiac at the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Light Up Parade on Friday, November 28th! We will kick off the festivities at 5:30 PM in Block 59, just south of the historic courthouse, with the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, featuring our newly planted holiday tree! The sponsors for our miniature Winter- fest Tree display will be announced during the ceremony, and the PTHS Madrigals will serenade the crowd. Next, the Light Up Parade will travel throughout our historic square starting at 6:00 PM and at its conclusion, Santa will take up residence at his Pontiac home. Immediately following the parade, visit the Humiston - Riverside Park for Pontiac Public Library's special light-up StoryWalk event. Make sure to save the date & join us for this festive celebration!
