eero expands offerings for homes, businesses, and professional installers with eero Signal and eero PoE 7

Amazon announced todaya new range of eero solutions that offer homes and businesses faster and more reliable connectivity. eero Signal is a new companion device that provides customers peace of mind if there's an internet outage by using cellular connectivity to automatically keep their eero network online. eero now has a comprehensive Wi-Fi 7 portfolio with eero PoE 7, a Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) access point that uses wired infrastructure to deliver fast, reliable, and secure connectivity for businesses and residential properties.

With eero Signal, customers get peace of mind that their network will stay online during an internet outage. It can be connected to any USB-C powered eero on a network that supports Wi-Fi 6 and up, and will be available in 4G and 5G models. eero Signal will automatically detect an internet outage and use an available cellular backup connection to keep the customer's network online.

eero Signal can only be used for backup connectivity at a single location and requires an existing primary internet connection. Backup data will be available through an annual eero Plus subscription, and will be coming to eero Business as well. New and existing subscribers to an annual eero Plus plan will receive up to 10 GB of backup data during an internet outage per year at no additional cost, which is ideal for customers who experience a few short outages a year. For customers who experience more frequent internet outages and need more backup data, an annual eero Plus 100 plan will provide up to 100 GB of backup data during an internet outage per month.

eero PoE 7-Wi-Fi 7 performance for business and residential properties
For businesses and residential properties that use wired infrastructure and have high-bandwidth needs, eero now has a comprehensive Wi-Fi 7 portfolio with eero PoE 7, a multi-gigabit tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point that delivers wireless speeds up to 3.9 Gbp and wired speeds up to 9.4 Gbps through its two 10 GbE ports. It can go almost anywhere Ethernet cable can be pulled-making it easy to flush mount to ceilings and walls and seamlessly blend into its environment. A single unit provides up to 2,000 square feet of coverage, supports up to 200 connected devices, and also acts as a smart home hub for Matter, Thread, and Zigbee.

eero PoE 7 can be powered by eero PoE Gateway and other compatible PoE switches, and benefits from everything customers love about eero-an easy-to-use app for network management, advanced security features, works with every eero system, and so much more. Now, customers can set up a complete Wi-Fi 7 PoE setup inside the home with eero PoE 7 and outside the home with eero Outdoor 7, all of which can be powered by eero PoE Gateway.

eero is also introducing new offerings for professional installers who set up and install eero networks for customers. Later this year, professional installers will be able to sell eero Plus and eero Business subscriptions to their customers, offering premium security features and internet backup data. When the installer is finishing setup of an eero system in the app and transfers the network to the customer, they will have the ability to upgrade the account to add eero Plus or eero Business.

Availability
eero Signal 4G LTEwill be available in the US via eero.com and Amazon.com early next year for $99.99, as well as through select internet services providers. eero Signal 5G RedCap will be available in 2026 for $199. At launch, annual eero Plus subscriptions will include 10 GB of eero Signal backup data per year at the same $99.99 per year price point. We will also offer eero Plus 100, which includes 100 GB of eero Signal backup data per month in addition to all eero Plus features, for $199.99 per year. eero Signal backup data can only be used during a primary internet outage.

eero PoE 7will be available in the US and Canada through select internet service providers and professional installers starting this November, and through Amazon.com and eero.com later this year. eero PoE 7 will be available as a one-pack for $499.99.
