City of West Hollywood Presents JazzAntiqua Dance and Music Ensemble’s ‘The Stories We Tell’ in Celebration of Black History Month

The City of West Hollywood will present a special presentation for Black History Month: JazzAntiqua Dance and Music Ensemble's The Stories We Tell on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at the Silver Screen Theater at the Pacific Design Center (PDC), located at 8687 Melrose Avenue. Doors will open at 3 p.m. for a reception, followed by the performance at 4 p.m. The event is free, but RSVP is requested via Eventbrite.

This free performance is presented by the City of West Hollywood's Arts Division and JazzAntiqua Dance and Music Ensemble. Join award-winning JazzAntiqua Dance and Music Ensemble for an intimate jazz-theater experience melding dance, music, film, spoken word, and visual art in a celebration of lived experiences, collective memory, cultural legacy, and Black Joy.

JazzAntiqua Dance and Music Ensemble's 90-minute production of The Stories We Tell is directed by Pat Taylor and will feature special guests dance artist Bernard Brown/bbmoves, dance artist Tashara Gavin-Moorehead, poet V. Kali, actor and cultural architect Charles Reese, and visual artist Carlos Spivey.

The City of West Hollywood's Black History Month Celebration is organized by the City of West Hollywood's Arts Division. The Stories We Tell is free to attend, however RSVP is recommended. Seating is first-come, first-served, limited to availability. Complimentary parking is provided for the first 200 vehicles in the PDC structure accessible from Melrose Avenue and then a $10 flat rate for any additional attendees.
