There is still time to register for the 2026 Community Police Academy! The Police Community Academy gives our community members a hands-on introduction to police work. Participants will gain firsthand insight into how and why the Police Department operates, including an inside look at the culture of police work and the organization. It is a great opportunity to ask questions openly and discuss topics of interest with the police.
The Academy is a six-week program open to ages 18 years and older and takes place Wednesdays from 6:30-9:30 p.m. from Jan. 14, 2026 through Feb. 18, 2026. If you are interested in criminal law, traffic enforcement and education and investigations, or what police officers do every day, this is a great program for you to join.
