(Leavenworth, Kansas) - University of Saint Mary Assistant Professor of Mathematics Dylan C. Beck will present the multimedia gallery "Our Only Way Is Through" - a collection of 16 digitally manipulated photographs captured in locations across the United States over the past 10 years. Each artwork pairs with a short poem and a companion song from one of Dr. Beck's creative projects.
University of Saint Mary will host an opening reception from 4-7 p.m. on March 31, with a performance at 6 p.m., in the Goppert Gallery. "Our Only Way Is Through" will be on display weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. through April 18.
"Loosely narrative in structure and often surreal, the deeply reflective pieces pull from experience and fantasy alike to chronicle my decades-long journey through existential dread, heartbreak, integration, and ultimately triumph," Beck said.
