Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Quality Assurance Study
The Wastewater Department recently completed the 2025 Discharge Monitoring Report-Quality Assurance (DMR-QA) Study 45. The Environmental Protection Agency requires all Clean Water Act-National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit holders to complete the study. The study ensures the integrity of laboratory data submitted by the permittee for DMR reporting requirements.
The Wastewater Department worked diligently with its many licensed operators and contracted third-party laboratories to complete the DMR-QA Study. We are pleased to report that our testing parameters have a 100% pass rate for DMR-QA Study 45. A 100% pass rate helps our department maintain the utmost quality in discharging effluent to the environment.
Routine Inspection and Service on a John Deere 610E Tractor with Boom Mower Attachment
Fleet Maintenance recently conducted a routine inspection and service on a John Deere 6105E tractor equipped with a boom mower attachment. During the inspection, technicians identified a malfunction with the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) level indicator. Replacement parts have been ordered to resolve this issue.
In the meantime, several minor repairs were completed, including adjustments to the lighting system, an oil change, and filter replacement. Once the DEF-related parts are installed, the tractor will undergo a quality inspection to verify full operational readiness and ensure no additional issues are present.
By addressing problems early, maintenance helps extend the service life of our equipment and maintain safe, reliable performance in the field.
