Significant Incidents

Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Carjacking: On 11/02/2025 at 05:42AM, HPD was called for a shooting and carjacking that occurred on B Street and Meekland Ave (Train Station). The victim met an unknown male at a gas station on A St / Mission Blvd. The male asked for a ride which the victim provided and drove to the train station. While in the parking lot, the victim was shot in the leg by the male subject, sustaining a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The subject fled with the victim's vehicle, which was later located by Antioch PD unoccupied. Case 2025-063164

Possession of a Controlled Substance while Armed, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales, Loaded Firearm Possession, and Resisting Arrest: On 11/02/2025 at 2:53PM, a traffic stop was conducted at Mission Blvd/Carlos Bee Blvd, where officers noticed several open beer bottles and the odor of burnt marijuana. During the stop, the driver ran from his vehicle and fled from the officers. He was apprehended shortly thereafter by HPD and an off-duty Broadmore PD officer, who happened to be in the area while driving on Mission Blvd. The subject (a Hayward resident) was taken into custody for the above charges. Kidnapping and Sexual Battery: On 11/04/2025 at 6:23PM officers were called to the 19000 block of Hesperian Blvd regarding a male touching a female inappropriately and trying to forcefully take her with him. HPD located the male (non-Hayward resident) while he was trying to flee and detained him. The subject is not known to the victim prior to the incident; and was arrested on the above charges. Commercial Burglary: On 11/06/2025 at 11:22PM, Officers were sent to the 27000 block of Mission Blvd (High School) for a burglary where two subjects entered the school, damaged property in excess of $20,000, and stole two state championship rings. Video footage of the two subjects is being used for the investigation. Case 2025-64202
