Susan Collins Campaigns for MAGA Extremist Paul LePage

Augusta, Maine - Susan Collins is once again showing where her loyalties lie - calling on Republicansto unite behind MAGA extremist Paul LePage in Maine's 2nd Congressional District.

LePage, who describes himselfas "Donald Trump before Donald Trump" has a long record of extreme, dangerous rhetoric and policies. Here's what Mainers should know:

• Paul LePage opposes abortion rights. In 2016, he said"Right now, more people are dying than being born, so it's time to have an opportunity to keep them alive. We should not have abortion."

• He is a staunch opponent of Medicaid expansion - while governor, he saidhe'd "go to jail" before he let Maine expand Medicaid without funding.

• LePage thinks Donald Trump should have more power - in 2016, he said"Sometimes I wonder that our Constitution is not only broken, but we need a Donald Trump to show some authoritarian power in our country and bring back the rule of law."

• He has compared the IRS to gestapo, in 2012 saying"We the people have been told there is no choice. You must buy health insurance or pay the new Gestapo - the IRS."

• LePage has a long history of saying extremely racist comments - some including claimingBlack people "come up the highway and they kill Mainers" and once saying"You shoot at the enemy. You try to identify the enemy and the enemy right now, the overwhelming majority of people coming in, are people of color or people of Hispanic origin."
