NOAA Fisheries has taken inseason action in the commercial and recreational salmon fisheries north and south of Cape Falcon.

*Anglers are reminded that following the closure to coho salmon retention, the fishery from Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain remains open for all salmon except coho salmon, with a 2 salmon daily bag limit through October 31, 2026. The scheduled non-mark-select (no fin-clip requirement) coho salmon fishery will open on September 1, 2026.
Anglers in the area from Humbug Mountain to the Oregon/California border are reminded that all salmon except coho remains open through August 31, 2026, with a 2 salmon day bag limit. In this area, coho retention is prohibited for the remainder of the year.
