United Bank 24th Annual Charity Classic Raises $375,000 to Support Inova Kellar Center

VIENNA, Va. - United Bank hosted its 24th annual Charity Classic golf tournament on Monday in support of Inova Kellar Center, raising approximately $375,000 to support behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families in Northern Virginia. This year's event brought the Classic's lifetime total of funds raised to over $8.8 million.

"At United Bank, we believe investing in the health and well-being of children and families is an important part of building stronger communities," said Mike Proctor, Chief Commercial Lending Officer, United Bank. "The Charity Classic is a meaningful way to bring our clients, partners, and community together in support of Inova Kellar Center's important work, and we're incredibly grateful for the generosity that makes this event possible year after year."

For 35 years, Inova Kellar Center's comprehensive adolescent mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs and its innovative special education school have supported families throughout Northern Virginia. Proceeds from the Classic provide funding that enables Inova Kellar Center's expansion of clinical services, support for critical staff positions, and financial assistance for children and families who may not have the resources to obtain treatment.

"We are grateful to United Bank and the generous supporters of the United Bank Charity Classic for their continued partnership and commitment to our mission. Their support helps us provide critical mental health and substance use disorder services to children and families throughout our community, creating a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve," said Rick Leichtweis, PhD, Executive Director, Inova Kellar Center.

This year's Classic brought together a distinguished group of corporate and community leaders, attracting hundreds of business and community supporters, as well as 140 golfers to the Country Club of Fairfax on Oct. 5. Premier sponsors and donors included Inova; United Bank; Wiliam A. Hazel, Inc.; the Peterson Family Foundation; the John & Nina Toups Foundation; the Cecil Pruitt Foundation; Van Metre Companies Foundation; Mooring Financial Corporation; FIS; Calloway Contracting Group; Verizon; DPR Construction; and A.J.
