Eaglecrest general manager Craig Cimmons announced his resignation on January 8, 2026. The Eaglecrest Board appointed Erin Lupro, Director of Snowsports School, Rental, Retail & Repair, as Acting General Manager.
Cimmons was hired as General Manager in 2024, bringing extensive ski area experience to the role. Most recently, he spent 12 years at Jay Peak Resort in Vermont as Ski School & Community Engagement Manager. His appointment came at a critical time for Eaglecrest as the facility faced staffing shortages and the challenge of installing a gondola to expand into summer operations.
"The Eaglecrest Board wants to thank Mr. Cimmons for his time as Eaglecrest general manager. As GM, Craig showed an unwavering dedication to Eaglecrest's employees and an uncompromising focus on safety and sustainability," shared Eaglecrest Board Chair, Brandon Cullum. "Craig successfully worked to align the Eaglecrest pay plan with the CBJ pay plan, set higher standards for safe operation, and prioritized access for young and developing skiers as the mountain struggled through uncooperative weather and mechanical challenges. The board wishes Craig the best moving forward and appreciates his willingness to support acting general manager Erin Lupro during this transition."
To ensure continuity of operations during this transition period, Cimmons has agreed to assist in coordination over the next 30 days, supporting Acting General Manager Erin Lupro as needed. Lupro, who has been with Eaglecrest in various capacities, including previously serving as Acting General Manager, will oversee day-to-day operations while the board conducts a search for a permanent candidate.
Further updates regarding the general manager search and operational plans will be shared as available.
