We have added an additional security measure for all clients in an era where cybercrime is on the rise and no one is fully protected. The extra verification helps prevent the increasingly common fraud of recent years. This is a widely used solution, also employed by Google and many other service providers. Fraudsters are increasingly targeting account access and use convincing scam emails, messages or phone calls to do so. Additional identity verification significantly reduces this risk and protects the client's money and data.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) means that in addition to a PIN, another confirmation code must sometimes be entered. This confirms that the account is being accessed with the client's own intent. We may request additional confirmation, for example, when logging in from a new device or when the system detects an unusual login attempt.
Recently, there have been more cases where a message appears to come from a well-known service provider or government agency, warning about an unpaid invoice and including a payment link. In the rush of everyday life, it can happen that the victim enters a PIN, thereby unintentionally confirming the login from the fraudster's device. Additional identity verification helps to significantly reduce such situations and provides extra protection to the client at the moment when the fraudster has already obtained the PIN.
