CLEVELAND - University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center has been named a 2025 Catalyst Award finalist in the Quality Performance and Measures category for its innovative work improving data integration and enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of tumor registry processes.

"We are deeply proud of the UH Seidman Cancer Center team led by Deepthi Yammani. As the solution architect on this project, she was able to troubleshoot and improve the implementation code that is being recognized with this prestigious award," said Theodoros Teknos, MD, President & Scientific Director of UH Seidman Cancer Center and the Jane and Lee Seidman Chair in Cancer Innovation.

The Catalyst Awards, presented at the Health Catalyst Analytics Summit (HAS) 2025 in Salt Lake City, Utah, recognizes 28 leading hospitals and health systems that are setting the standard for data-driven innovation and healthcare transformation. Attendees at HAS will convene to explore the potential of data and analytics in an intimate setting, addressing some of healthcare's most critical challenges, such as improving clinical quality, optimizing operational efficiency, increasing revenue capture, and managing population health.

"Our team's development of a process that enables more complete integration and delivers more accurate data has greatly improved the efficiency of abstracting and Tumor Registry reporting. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence and delivering the best possible care for our patients," said John Shanahan, Director of Informatics, UH Seidman Cancer Center.

UH Seidman Cancer Center engaged end-users to provide insight into clinical workflow processes, creating a comprehensive implementation package that improved cancer and tumor registry data abstraction.
