Welcome, Class of 2030: A New Year Begins at Loyola

By Loyola University on Mon, 08/17/2026 - 13:33 Student Life

A new academic year is officially underway at Loyola University New Orleans, and the newest members of the Wolf Pack are home.

The Class of 2030 arrived on campus last week for move-in, Wolf Pack Welcome and New Student Convocation, filling campus with new faces, new energy and plenty of Wolf Pack spirit.

Coming to Loyola from across Louisiana, throughout the country and around the world, our newest students bring an incredible mix of backgrounds, interests, talents and experiences to the university community.

And after a busy first few days of unpacking, meeting roommates, finding their way around campus and getting their first taste of life at Loyola, they gathered together for one very important Loyola tradition: the Class of 2030 photo.

Meet the Class of 2030

There is a lot to love about our newest Wolves.

They chose Loyola from among thousands of prospective students interested in becoming part of the Wolf Pack.

They represent communities near and far, with strong representation from Louisiana as well as students who traveled across the country and around the world to make New Orleans their new home.

They will study everything from business and the sciences to music, media, the arts and humanities, discovering new interests and preparing to make an impact in New Orleans and beyond.

And they are beginning their Loyola experience at an exciting time for the university, with new programs and partnerships, investments across campus and a new era for Wolf Pack Athletics on the horizon.

Four Years Start Here

For the Class of 2030, these first few days are only the beginning.

Over the next four years, they will find their favorite spots on campus, meet professors and friends who change their lives, discover new passions, experience their first Mardi Gras as Loyola students and become part of the traditions that make Loyola and New Orleans unlike anywhere else.

Along the way, they will be challenged to learn, lead and serve others, carrying forward Loyola's Jesuit tradition and its commitment to educating the whole person.

Someday, this class will gather together again to celebrate Commencement in 2030.

For now, their Loyola story is just getting started.

Welcome home, Class of 2030. We can't wait to see what you do next.
