City of Glendale Kicks Off Summer of Soccer 2026 with
Community Viewing Party and Citywide Business Activations
Glendale, CA - The City of Glendale invites residents and visitors to celebrate Summer of Soccer 2026 through a citywide campaign that combines soccer excitement with local dining, shopping, entertainment, and community experiences.
From June 12 through July 19, Glendale's Summer of Soccer campaign will highlight watch parties, special promotions, limited-time offers, and soccer-themed activations hosted by local businesses throughout the city. Featured through the Visit Glendale mobile app, the campaign will make it easy for fans to discover places to watch matches, explore exclusive offers, and experience everything Glendale has to offer during one of the world's most anticipated sporting events.
As part of the celebration, the City of Glendale will host a free, family-friendly community viewing party for the Third Place Match on Saturday, July 18, at the Artsakh Paseo in Downtown Glendale. Made possible in part through grant funding from the Office of Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the event will bring together soccer fans of all ages for an afternoon of entertainment, community engagement, and shared excitement.
Following the match, attendees are encouraged to continue the celebration at Downtown Glendale's popular Cruise Night, creating a full day of entertainment and community activity in the heart of the city.
"Summer of Soccer presents a unique opportunity to showcase Glendale while supporting the local businesses that help define our community," said Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian. "Whether you're visiting for the tournament or have called Glendale home for years, we invite everyone to come together, enjoy the excitement of the game, and experience everything our city has to offer."
"Community events like this bring people together in a positive and festive environment, and I believe that is more important now than ever," said Supervisor Kathryn Barger. "This is a once-in-a-generation moment, and I'm proud the Fifth District could help bring this celebration to Downtown Glendale. When communities come together, it builds something lasting. That's exactly what events like this are meant to do."
Restaurants, retailers, hotels, entertainment venues, and other local businesses hosting watch parties, offering promotions, creating themed experiences, or soccer-related activations are invited to submit their offerings for inclusion in the Summer of Soccer campaign. Businesses interested in participating can learn more and apply at: Bit.ly/Summer-Of-Soccer (case-sensitive).
