Closure Set for Forest Service Wild Horse Gather
The Bureau of Land Management has released its decision to issue a temporary closure of specific lands west of the Montgomery Pass Wild Horse Territory to support a U.S. Forest Service wild horse gather targeting animals that are outside the Territory.
The closure helps ensure public safety and the safe, effective operation of gather activities. The closure begins July 7, 2026, and will remain in effect for the duration of the gather operations or until rescinded.
