Timothy Gustin Selected as Real Estate Lawyer of the Year by Minnesota Real Estate Journal

MINNESOTA, May 19, 2026 - Timothy Gustin, a member of Cozen O'Connor's Real Estate Practice, has been named Real Estate Lawyer of the Year by Minnesota Real Estate Journal. Gustin was recognized for his work on some of the region's most impactful real estate projects, having closed thousands of multifamily loan and servicing transactions throughout his career, and contributed to housing needs on a national level.

Gustin represents lenders who originate and sell multifamily mortgage loans to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, many of which are then pooled and sold into securitization trusts. He also represents portfolio lenders - including life insurance companies, bridge lenders, and banks - who finance office, industrial, hospitality, retail, self-storage, and multifamily projects.

Gustin serves on the Freddie Mac Multifamily Legal Advisory Council and participates in Fannie Mae's Legal Issues Forum, where he works with agency legal teams to update loan documentation and requirements in response to legal and industry developments.
