Ascension Seton Williamson Expands with New Patient Tower to Support Growing Community

Ascension Seton Williamson today announced the opening of its new patient tower, a $230 million investment designed to meet the needs of Williamson County, one of the fastest-growing regions in Central Texas. This expansion ensures that local families have greater convenience to reliable and compassionate care close to home.

"Our doctors, nurses, and care teams are at the heart of our commitment to this community," said Jamie Youssef, Ministry Market CEO, Ascension Texas. "The opening of this new tower empowers them to extend our Mission to even more families. As Central Texas expands, this facility ensures that everyone in our growing region continues to receive the compassionate, high-quality care they need, whenever and wherever they need it."

Key highlights of the new patient tower include:

  • 96 new inpatient beds, with capacity to support future growth as our community needs evolve.
  • A new 10-bed Clinical Decision Unit to support observation care and help patients transition smoothly to the next step in their care.
  • A new cardiac catheterization lab for specialized cardiovascular services.
  • Two new operating suites to reduce wait times and increase surgical capacity.
  • Additional CT, MRI, and X-ray capabilities.
  • A 33,000-square-foot expansion within the Medical Office Building, creating new space for hospital-based outpatient departments (such as cardiac rehab, pediatric rehab, and a lymphedema clinic) and upgraded cardiology offices.

The project demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality, comprehensive care to the entire community. Beyond the physical structure, the tower is designed to support our teams by creating an environment that fosters collaboration and professional efficiency. By integrating modern tools and improved workflows, we are enabling our providers and staff to focus on delivering excellent patient care.

"This tower expansion is an investment in the future of healthcare delivery for our neighbors," said Andrew Gnann, President of Ascension Seton Williamson. "Our goal was to create a space that does more than just add capacity; it creates a care environment that supports healing, dignity, and interdisciplinary collaboration. By expanding our facilities and modernizing our technology, we are ensuring that we can continue to provide care to the families of Williamson County for generations to come."

The new tower is scheduled to welcome its first patient on September 1, marking a new chapter in the ministry's long-standing service to the region.
