RaceTrac's Run for Research is September 26, supporting our long-time partnership.

RaceTrac is celebrating 15 years of partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation. This cause is deeply rooted in our culture, and as we prepare for our annual Run for Research, we're reflecting on our collaboration.

In the fall of 2000, the iconic actor Michael J. Fox launched the Foundation for Parkinson's research after being diagnosed with the disease at age 29. In the years since, the Foundation has been a commanding voice in scientific philanthropy - leading the search for a cure to the progressive brain disorder that affects over one million Americans.

Since 2011, RaceTrac has partnered with The Michael J. Fox Foundation. Through initiatives like Coffee for a Cause Week and Run for Research, we surpassed the $10 million fundraising mark earlier this year.

"Parkinson's is a very personal cause to our family and to our business, one that we are very passionate about supporting," Melanie Isbill, chief brand officer at RaceTrac, told the Atlanta Business Chronicle. RaceTrac's late chairman emeritus Carl Bolch, Jr. and his father, company founder Carl Bolch, Sr., both lived with Parkinson's, and their legacies continue to drive RaceTrac's dedication to the cause.

Our contributions to The Michael J. Fox Foundation wouldn't be possible without the help of our amazing field and corporate teams who carry out these initiatives, encouraging guest participation, giving personally and joining our annual 5K. Run for Research is back on Saturday, September 26 at The Battery. As in years past, 100% of registration fees will benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation. We invite runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to participate in the 5k or 1k, so it's easy to contribute.
