GPD Seeks Public's Help Identifying Persons of Interest in Ocotillo Road Firework Assault

The Gilbert Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying multiple individuals who are persons of interest in an incident that occurred on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Just after 10:00 PM, officers responded to an assault call at a residence located along Ocotillo Road near Freeman Farms Road. Initial reports indicated that a firework was thrown into the backyard from Ocotillo Road while a social gathering was occurring. When the device exploded, five juvenile victims sustained injuries.

During the investigation, officers obtained nearby surveillance footage that shows three unidentified subjects fleeing the area immediately after the explosion. At this time, these individuals have not been identified.
