President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

"We are grateful to you, your Government, your Parliament, the Prime Minister, and the people of Denmark. We have very good relations with Denmark. We highly value the strong support Ukraine and our people receive from friends like Denmark," the Head of State noted.During the meeting, they discussed Russia's drone attack on Poland. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the best response to aggression is to jointly strengthen air defense and establish a reliable air shield over Europe.
The parties also addressed increased sanction pressure on Russia. The President emphasized that Ukraine expects the EU's 19th sanctions package to be adopted as soon as possible.
The conversation also covered continued defense support for Ukraine, Denmark's participation in the PURL initiative, and joint weapons production.
Lars Løkke Rasmussen noted that Denmark has already allocated nearly EUR 10 billion in aid to Ukraine and assured that his country will continue its support.
"We understand that the fight in Ukraine is not only for the Ukrainians but for all of us. We are ramping up our capabilities," he said.
Particular attention was given to supporting Ukraine on its path to EU membership during Denmark's EU Council presidency, including the simultaneous opening of the first cluster for both Ukraine and Moldova.
