Revised Start Date for Nighttime Closure of Route 202 (Exit 8) Ramps on I-95
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces that the Route 202 northbound ramps (Exit 8) on I-95 northbound and southbound will close nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. September 19, 2026, and September 20, 2006.
One ramp will always remain open. The closures are necessary for roadway striping.
Motorists traveling northbound on I-95 will exit onto Marsh Road northbound and exit at I-95 southbound to access Route 202 northbound.
Motorists traveling southbound on I-95 wanting to go north on Route 202 will exit onto Route 202 southbound, turn right onto Broom Street, turn left onto 18th Street, and then turn onto Baynard Boulevard to access Route 202 northbound.
Motorists are encouraged to allow extra travel time, follow the posted detour, and use caution while traveling through the area. Construction is weather-dependent.
