Charitable Foundation – FHLBNY Grants

Trustco Bank was excited to secure grant funds from the FHLBNY Small Business Recovery Grant Program. With the funds, Trustco selected six local organizations that serve the community to receive charitable donations. The donation recipients were as follows:

Ballston Lake EMS

Emergency Medical Squads don't receive any public funding, and Ballston Lake EMS in particular relies on community volunteers and charitable donations. Trustco was thrilled to donate $10,000 in support of their crucial community work.

New York State Professional Fire Fighters Association

The NYS Professional Fire Fighters Association represents more than 18,000 men and women working full-time as members of municipal fire departments across the state.

Heritage Home for Women

Located in Schenectady, the Heritage Home for Women is a historic mansion that provides a safe and caring home for older women who they lovingly refer to as "The Ladies." The Ladies are welcome to stay at the home for as long as they need, and they can house up to 36 residents at a time.

Home Care Association of NYS

The Home Care Association of NYS is dedicated to enhancing the quality and accessibility of health care support at home. They represent hundreds of dedicated providers and home care workers and provide education and training for their members. And a special congratulations to Mercedes (center of the photo) on her upcoming retirement!

Joan Nicole Prince Home

The Joan Nicole Prince Home provides end-of-life care for two patients at a time, not as a medical facility, but an alternative treatment setting for those in their final days. Toni (center of the photo) and the rest of her staff work extremely hard to make their residents final days comfortable, safe, and loving.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

The Ronald McDonald House of Albany is truly a special place. The house welcomes in families when they have a child at the hospital, with many of the families having babies in the NICU. The house is located right across the street from the hospital and provides a safe and caring place for them to stay while their child undergoes treatment. Kimmy shared the stories of two families who recently got to ring the "good news bell"!
