Paderborn/London, October 6, 2026. With the DARTS 9050-DG, dSPACE is expanding its radar target simulation portfolio to include a new digital platform for sophisticated development and validation tasks related to modern radar systems. The solution was developed for test scenarios in which radar sensors must precisely detect, track, and distinguish numerous objects at the same time. The DARTS 9050-DG enables realistic simulation of complex traffic and environmental scenarios and supports the development and validation of radar-based functions. What makes it special: Continuous 5-GHz bandwidth is available along the entire signal path, from the system's input to its output.
The DARTS 9050-DG is based on a digital, software-defined platform architecture. New features and enhancements can be added flexibly via software. As a result, the system serves as the foundation for future developments within the DARTS family and offers users a high degree of investment security.
Key features include two independent simulation channels, extensive digital signal processing, and support for up to 16 independent digital targets. This makes it possible to efficiently and realistically simulate complex, multitarget scenarios. "With the DARTS 9050-DG, we are building on the strengths of our DARTS family while laying the foundation for its next stage of evolution," explains Dr. Andreas Himmler, Business Field Manager at dSPACE. "The new platform opens up additional possibilities for radar validation and allows us to flexibly implement future requirements and customer-specific enhancements."
The DARTS 9050-DG was unveiled for the first time at European Microwave Week (EuMW) 2026 in London.
