PeaceHealth invites the community to virtual event celebrating International Translation Day
VANCOUVER, Wash. - Every patient deserves to be heard, understood and supported, especially when clear communication shapes their experience of care. In honor of International Translation Day, which celebrates the Feast of St. Jerome, the Bible translator considered the patron saint of translators, PeaceHealth Language Services is hosting "The Language of Belonging: Language Rights, Access & Inclusion," from noon - 1 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
PeaceHealth invites the community to join the virtual panel featuring professional interpreters and PeaceHealth caregivers who will share real stories about language diversity, language rights and everyday practices that build trust with patients and families from diverse linguistic, cultural and communication backgrounds.
