Delozier Announces State Grants for Multiple District Projects

December 18, 2025

HARRISBURG -State grant funding was awarded to four community development projects in the 88th Legislative District under the state's competitive Local Share Account (LSA) program, according to Rep. Sheryl M. Delozier (R-Cumberland).

"The LSA program plays a vital role in supporting a wide array of community initiatives across Pennsylvania," said Delozier. "These state grants help municipalities and school districts save money while driving essential improvements and revitalization efforts that enhance the quality of life for residents.

"Funded through state gaming revenue, LSA grants allow us to invest directly in our communities. I was proud to advocate for funds and am thankful that several important projects received support. It was a privilege to collaborate with the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) and fellow legislators in our region to move these efforts forward," Delozier concluded.

The 88th Legislative District LSA awards are as follows:

• Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, $500,000 to expand handicap access, renovate new space for additional accessibility and replace an elevator in its headquarters in Hampden Township.
• Mechanicsburg Volunteer Fire Dept., $300,000 to go toward construction of a new firehouse in Mechanicsburg Borough.
• Beacon Hill Park, $350,000 to cover costs associated with phases two and three of a park rehabilitation project in Lower Allen Township.
• Shiremanstown leaf collection, $95,000 to purchase leaf collection equipment to be used in Shiremanstown Borough.

The funding for these projects was approved by the CFA. CFA is an independent agency that holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania's economic growth.
