TULSA, Okla. (November 11, 2025) - The Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) Foundation has announced a combined $125,000 donation to two nonprofit organizations working to address food insecurity and support vulnerable families across Oklahoma.
The PSO Foundation contributed $50,000 to Food On The Move, a Tulsa-based nonprofit that hosts community food and resource events in areas identified as food deserts. These events provide fresh produce, hot meals, and access to essential services. The funding will also support Food On The Move's broader mission to create sustainable solutions through education, outreach, and community partnerships.
"We are deeply grateful for the PSO Foundation's partnership and their dedication to improving food security in our community," said Tina Parkhill, Food On The Move CEO. "Their investment enhances our work to reach families with fresh food, warm meals, and vital services. During a period when SNAP benefits are paused and many households are feeling the strain, this support helps us extend our impact and uphold dependable access to the resources our neighbors count on."
An additional $75,000 was awarded to The Salvation Army to support its statewide food assistance programs and other much-needed services. These programs provide nutritious meals, pantry staples, and utility assistance to help Oklahomans remain safely housed and nourished.
"The Salvation Army is so very thankful for the continued partnership and generosity from the PSO Foundation to provide much-needed food and assistance to families during this very difficult season," said Doug Goetzinger, Divisional Director of Development for Oklahoma and Arkansas.
"Across Oklahoma, families are struggling to put food on the table and are having to make difficult decisions between feeding their families, paying utilities or rent. This special gift of $75,000 is helping feed thousands of Oklahomans through Salvation Army food pantries and daily feeding programs - we appreciate the PSO Foundation and the continued difference they are making for their neighbors in need!"
This year, the PSO Foundation has awarded more than $200,000 to programs dedicated to combating food insecurity across the state.
"We're grateful to work alongside organizations that provide Oklahoma families with basic needs like food on the table," said Leigh Anne Strahler, PSO President and COO. "Their deep commitment to helping families stay nourished, safe, and supported ensures our contribution reaches those who need it most."
