'Scream 7' Slashes Past $200 Million at the Global Box Office

Ghostface is back-and audiences around the world have answered the call.

Paramount Pictures and Spy Glass Media Group's Scream 7 has crossed the $200 million mark at the global box office, becoming the highest-grossing installment in the iconic horror franchise's 30-year history and cementing its place as one of the most successful theatrical horror releases of the year.

Released in theaters on February 27, the seventh chapter of the groundbreaking Scream saga has resonated strongly with moviegoers around the world. The film captured the No. 1 spot globally, opened to a franchise-best $97 million worldwide, and marked the largest global opening ever for a Scream film. It is also the highest-grossing February domestic horror release of all time, and the biggest horror opening in Paramount history.

The combination of nostalgia, elevated suspense, and premium theatrical formats, including the franchise's first-ever IMAX release, has helped drive and sustain interest throughout the film's theatrical run.

Directed by franchise creator Kevin Williamson, Scream 7 marks the return of Neve Campbell as Sidney Prescott. When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

Campbell and May are joined by Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Matthew Lillard, along with Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O'Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Conseulos.

Scream 7 is produced by William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein, with the story and screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
