DALLAS - ​​Dallas ISD celebrated its four state basketball champions - Lincoln High School and Humanities/Communications Magnet, David W. Carter, Justin F. Kimball, and James Madison high schools - with a community parade and ceremony outside the American Airlines Center, honoring the teams' historic achievements. The event brought the community together to recognize the hard work, dedication, and success of these student-athletes.

Elementary students score new place to play
Hundreds of students at William M. Anderson Elementary School now have a brand-new space to play with the opening of a mini soccer pitch on campus this week. The pitch creates more opportunities for students to stay active, build teamwork skills, and develop healthy habits during and after the school day. This addition expands youth sports opportunities and brings the game directly to campus-made possible by Genesis, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, and the Major League Soccer Players Association.

Dallas ISD schools closed
All Dallas ISD schools will be closed Monday, May 4, which has been designated as an inclement weather day. Central offices will remain open and operate during regular business hours. All normal district operations will resume Tuesday, May 5.
