On 30 November 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Thailand supported the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra (RBSO), under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, organized the Thailand-China Friendship Concert at Beijing Concert Hall, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of Thailand - China diplomatic relations.

The programme featured four pieces of extraordinary works: the Royal Composition of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, "Fantasia on Themes of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej", the Royal Composition of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, "Concerto for Violin and Orchestra 'NEFRERETTA'", Siam Soundscapes by Professor Dr. Narongrit Dhamabutra, Thailand's National Artist, and My Motherland by Chinese composers Guan Xia and Wang Meng. The concert was conducted by Dr. Vanich Potavanich and featured Chinese violin soloist Mr. Wei Lu, together with 11 musicians from the China National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO).

This memorable event was attended by around 1,000 guests, including Thai and Chinese dignitaries such as Ms. Sasirit Tangulrat, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Ambassador of Thailand to the People's Republic of China; and Mr. Zhou Yu, Director of the CNSO. Also present were approximately 58 members of the diplomatic corps based in Beijing, diplomats and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, Team Thailand and their families, Thai and Chinese business leaders as well as students.

Building on the warm atmosphere following the recent State Visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand to China on 13-17 November 2025, the event helped to further strengthen the bond of friendship between the two peoples. At the same time, it highlighted the contribution of the Thai Monarchy in promoting arts and culture, while providing a platform for Thailand's leading symphony orchestra to showcase its excellence on a world-class stage.
