The Pro Series Signature Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7 Takes Modern Spin On n Iconic Shape And Is Designed For Extreme, Down Tuned Riffage, And Next Level Performance

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (April 12, 2023) - Today, Jackson®launches the Pro Series Signature Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7, a 7-string Jackson artist signature guitar made in collaboration with Suicide Silence's lead guitarist and metalcore mastermind, Mark Heylmun. Although this is Heylumn's first signature guitar with the brand, Mark has a long history with Jackson guitars. Most recently, he was included in the launch of the American Series SoloistTM SL3, the long-awaited, Jackson American-made flagship guitar. Now, he takes one of the most iconic shapes in Jackson's catalog and delivers a riffing machine tailor made for the next generation of heavy metal shredders.

Heylmun joined Riverside, California's Suicide Silence in 2005, writing and appearing on their debut breakthrough album, The Cleansing,which entered the Billboard Top 100 chart on release. A respected songwriter and lead guitarist, his pummelling riffs and blistering leads are influenced by everyone from Hendrix to Dimebag, and continue to help define the Deathcore/Metalcore genre as a whole.
"I've loved Jackson and what it represents in guitar culture for so long. I consider them to be the most metal guitars and have always looked up to the people who played them and their intense body shapes. Playing Jackson these days has brought me back to a place that just feels right" said Mark Heylmun. "When I play my signature Rhoads guitar it feels like an almost unreal full circle; it makes me feel stoked to play, write, and perform. This guitar reminds me of what's possible and to keep pushing, and I hope it can inspire others the same way."
Working closely with the Jackson Custom Shop to design and develop his Pro Series Signature Mark Heylmun Rhoads RR24-7 model, the guitarist took a modern take on the iconic Randy Rhoads shape by including a 26.5" scale length, a 12"-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard, 24 jumbo frets, a nyatoh body and a through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement to guard against climate-induced warping. This 7-string release is designed for extreme, down-tuned riffage. It is powered by Fishman Fluence Modern humbucking pickups and equipped with a three-way pickup toggle switch, single volume control and the Floyd Rose 1000 series 7-string double-locking tremolo bridge system for rock-solid tuning stability through the most aggressive dive bombs or harmonic squeals.
