04/03/2026 - Lane Closures on Capitol Way between State Ave and 4th Ave

McGrath Woods Park: Tree Removal and Temporary Closures

Please be advised that on Wednesday, April 8, the City of Olympia Parks Department will oversee the removal of several hazardous trees located along the frontage of McGrath Woods Park and Cain Road.

To ensure public safety and facilitate the use of heavy machinery, the following impacts should be expected:

  • Park Closure: McGrath Woods Park will be closed to the public for the entire duration of the project.
  • Traffic Delays: Cain Road will be subject to intermittent closures as a crane is utilized for the removals.
