Norton Rose Fulbright advises Zenobē on acquisition of battery storage developer sdp energie

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Zenobē on its acquisition of sdp energie GmbH and sdp energie Austria GmbH. With the acquisition of sdp energie, Zenobē completes its first corporate acquisition in Germany, marking an important milestone in its European growth strategy.

Zenobē, headquartered in London, is one of Europe's leading providers of energy infrastructure and battery storage solutions. The company develops, finances, builds and operates large-scale battery storage projects and provides solutions for the electrification of vehicle fleets. With approximately 1,500 MW of storage capacity either operational or contractually secured, Zenobē is among the leading international players in the battery storage sector. Since its establishment in 2017, the company has raised more than £3.2 billion in debt and equity financing. Its shareholders include KKR and Infracapital.

sdp energie, headquartered in Schäftlarn, Bavaria, develops battery storage projects across the entire value chain - from site selection and land acquisition through permitting and grid connection processes to the implementation of battery storage facilities. The company has projects across numerous German federal states and an extensive development pipeline in the battery storage sector.
