National Assembly Delegation at “Great Heritage – Common Future” Forum in Brest

A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia headed by Foreign Affairs Committee Deputy Chairman Dragan M. Markovic and including MP and member of the of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications Stasa Stojanovic, is taking part in the 2nd international forum "Great Heritage - Common Future", held in Brest, Belarus, 21 - 22 June 2026.

The forum is attended by a large number of heads of parliament, parliamentarians and other participants from all over the world.

Head of the delegation, Dragan M. Markovic, addressed the participants during the Forum's plenary session and reminded them of the great importance of the culture of remembrance of World War II, as well as the sacrifices made for freedom and a better future for the world we live in today.

He recalled the great heroic feats of the Yugoslav army during World War II, as well as the cultivation of a culture of remembrance in contemporary Serbia. He particularly highlighted the numerous events marking both the end of World War II and significant dates from the period that still have an important place in Serbian history today.

In his address, he paid special attention to educating young people and introducing new generations to historical events, the heroic struggle and resistance of our people during World War II. In this way, we transmit the values of freedom, solidarity and heroism to future generations.

The presence and participation of the Serbian delegation at the Forum was covered by a large number of national and local media from Russia and Belarus.
