SIA Welcomes U.S. Trade Deals with Countries in Southeast Asia

WASHINGTON-Oct. 26, 2025-The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today released the following statement from SIA President and CEO John Neuffer welcoming the announcement of U.S. trade deals with several Southeast Asian countries important to semiconductor supply chains.

"Southeast Asia has carved out a critical and growing role in the global semiconductor ecosystem in recent years. The agreements announced today with Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand will inject much-needed certainty and predictability into the global trade and business environment for the semiconductor industry and provide a platform for future trade and economic security collaboration going forward.

"We look forward to working with the Trump Administration to advance global trade initiatives that will ensure American semiconductor leadership for many years to come."
