English/Español: Díaz-Balart Commemorates 65th Anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Invasion

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Mario Díaz-Balart, Dean of the Florida Delegation and Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs, issued the following statement commemorating the 65^th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Invasion:

"On the 65th anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Invasion, we remember the brave Cuban patriots who risked everything in the fight for freedom against a brutal dictatorship.

Their courage is a reminder that the cause of liberty in Cuba is not over-and today, that freedom is closer than ever thanks to the leadership of President Trump. A free Cuba is in the best national security interests of the United States and the region.

As the Cuban people continue to resist tyranny, the United States remains steadfast in supporting their right to live in freedom and dignity."

WASHINGTON, D.C. - El legislador Mario Díaz-Balart, decano de la delegación de Florida y presidente de la Subcomisión de Asignaciones sobre Seguridad Nacional, Departamento de Estado y Programas Relacionados, emitió la siguiente declaración con motivo del 65.º aniversario de la invasión de Bahía de Cochinos:

"En el 65.º aniversario de la invasión de Bahía de Cochinos, recordamos a los valientes patriotas cubanos que arriesgaron todo en la lucha por la libertad frente a una dictadura brutal, corrupta y asesina.
