Gilbert, Ariz. - Applications are now open for for Gilbert's Student Government Day, a one-day educational program designed to give high school students a firsthand look at how local government works.
Scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, Student Government Day will bring together up to 50 high school studentsfor a hands-on leadership experience inside Town Hall. Participants will have the opportunity to shadow Town of Gilbert staff, participate in a mock council meeting, and share ideas related to real community projects.
The program is designed to introduce students to civic engagement, local government operations, and leadership development while encouraging them to take an active role in their community.
Eligible applicants must be high school students who attend a school in Gilbert, including homeschooled students, or live in Gilbert.
Applications are due by Thursday, February 5.
