BENTON, AR - The U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. French Hill for Arkansas' Second Congressional District in Benton, Arkansas, today, following a free enterprise roundtable. The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.
Rep. Hill was also honored with the Chamber's Advocate for American Business Award for his leadership in advancing free-market policies that promote affordability and expand opportunity for American families and businesses.
"French Hill has earned the U.S. Chamber's endorsement through his steadfast dedication to pro-growth policies and defense of the free enterprise system," said Jonathan Burks, Senior Vice President of Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. "It was a privilege to join him today for a roundtable with Benton-area business leaders, where we discussed workforce development, economic opportunity, and the policies Arkansas communities need to grow and thrive. We support Rep. Hill for reelection since he consistently stands up for Arkansas workers, families, and job creators."
Rep. Hill and Burks were joined by Shane Broadway, Vice President of University Relations at Arkansas State University, and local chamber and business leaders at the roundtable. They discussed the importance of creating opportunities for employment, removing regulatory hurdles that make it difficult to grow a business, and addressing challenges like housing and affordability.
The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.
The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
