Muskies at OMEA: Join Us for an Alumni Reception in Columbus

Calling all Muskingum music alumni and friends attending the 2026 OMEA Conference-we invite you to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate during a special Muskingum University Alumni Reception in Columbus.

The reception will take place on Friday, January 30, from 6:15-7:45 p.m., in Rooms 161-162 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Whether you're attending the conference as an educator, performer, student, or supporter of music education, this gathering offers a relaxed and welcoming space to reconnect with fellow Muskies.

Events like this reception reflect what it means to be a Muskie: lifelong connection, shared experiences, and pride in an institution that continues to inspire creativity and excellence. Even amid the energy of a busy conference, taking time to gather as alumni reminds us that Muskingum's community extends far beyond campus.

As Dr. David Turrill, Associate Professor of Music and Director of Bands, notes, "The OMEA conference is a highlight of the year for students and faculty. We love reconnecting with graduates at the alumni reception who are out in the field doing amazing work. It is also such a great opportunity for our current students to meet and learn from our alumni."
