Space Panorama, a new science communication format from Fondazione Leonardo ETS in collaboration with e-GEOS and Telespazio, is kicking off: a journey to discover the space innovations developed in Italy, told directly by the professionals who contribute to making them a reality every day.
It starts tomorrow, Tuesday 16 September, with the first episode taking viewers inside the Emergency Room of e-GEOS, the operations centre that provides rapid mapping services for emergency response following natural disasters, supporting civil protection agencies and relief organisations around the world.
Italy is one of the few countries in the world with a complete Space supply chain: from satellite manufacturing to launch support, from Earth Observation to telecommunications. Episode by episode, the series will highlight the key components of this cutting-edge industry.
Space Panorama will showcase both the human and technological side of the Leonardo Group: stories and innovations that are transforming the way we look at Earth and explore Space, giving voice to the people driving change and offering a behind-the-scenes view of a sector built on research, innovation, and passion.
Each episode will show how space technologies make a concrete contribution to improving life on Earth and addressing today's global challenges: from responding to the effects of climate change to supporting sustainable development, from secure telecommunications to precision agriculture, and even space exploration missions. The series will also highlight the leading role of the Italian space industry in major European programs such as Moonlight, Copernicus, and Galileo.
Episodes will be released every Tuesday on the websites and social media channels of Fondazione Leonardo, e-GEOS, and Telespazio.
