How to Report an Air Quality Complaint

Did you know you can easily report air quality issues, such as dust and odors, directly to the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) by phone and online. There are three ways to file:

When submitting an air quality complaint, please have the following information ready:

  • Date and time of the air quality event
  • Type of air quality event (odors, dust, asbestos, smoke, etc.)
  • Odor description (gas, chemical, rotten eggs, or other familiar odor)
  • Address or location of suspected source

Reporting air quality concerns ensure they are properly documented, routed, and investigated by South Coast AQMD's enforcement staff.
