Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus Zhou Yunliang Meets with Amathounta Mayor Kyriakos Xydias
On February 2, 2026, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus Zhou Yunliang met with Mayor of Amathounta Kyriakos Xydias.
Chargé d'Affaires Zhou said that subnational cooperation is an important component of the China-Cyprus strategic partnership. It is hoped that Mayor Xydias and Amathounta Municipality will continue to actively participate in exchanges and cooperation with China, so as to contribute to the growth of China-Cyprus relations.
Mayor Xydias commended China's achievements in urban construction and economic development, and expressed his willingness to promote further progress in China-Cyprus cooperation.
