Record-breaking event brought together more than 200 participants to support the Foundation's military and education initiatives
The Bojangles Foundation recently hosted its third annual Golf Classic at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C., raising more than $500,000 in support of military organizations and education-focused initiatives. This marks the most money raised in the tournament's history.
More than 200 Bojangles suppliers, franchisees, friends and leaders hit the links, joined by special guests from prominent organizations including Children of Fallen Patriots and Operation North State.
Celebrity guests included professional golfer Chesson Hadley and golf pro Blake McShea. On the course, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Association (CRVA) captured the West Course Championship, while Griffin Mechanical took top honors on the East Course.
"We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our Bojangles family year after year," said Ken Reynolds, executive director of The Bojangles Foundation. "This event is about more than golf. It's about creating opportunities and honoring those who serve. We'd like to thank our partners and participants who continue to make a real difference across our communities."
The Bojangles Foundation Fund was established to support the three pillars of Bojangles' corporate social responsibility plan: literacy, military appreciation and strengthening community. The fund is a component of Foundation For The Carolinas, which manages competitive grant programs that invest in communities throughout the region.
