Iowa Becomes Second State to Advance Podiatry Compact Legislation
APMA congratulates the Iowa Podiatric Medical Society on the passage of HF 2498, legislation to adopt the Interstate Podiatric Medical Licensure Compact (IPMLC) in Iowa. The bill now awaits the governor's signature. If enacted, Iowa would join Maryland in strengthening the podiatric workforce by improving licensure portability and expanding patient access to foot and ankle care provided by podiatrists.
