Minister of Foreign Affairs joins the Prime Minister to meet with the Secretary-General of the United Nations

On 26 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, in a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. António Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Prime Minister congratulated the United Nations on its 80th anniversary and reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to continuing and strengthening cooperation with the UN in all dimensions. He expressed Thailand's full support for the UN80 Initiative, as well as for accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Prime Minister also exchanged views on regional issues, including the situation in Myanmar and the Thailand - Cambodia situation, emphasizing the importance of resolving the Cambodia situation through peaceful means and reaffirming Thailand's readiness to cooperate in addressing cybercrime.
