Portions of Boy Scout Road and Barney Keen Road in Lake Wales Closing Oct. 19 for Underground Steel Pipe Installation Work

Bartow, Fla. (Oct. 15, 2026) - Portions of Boy Scout Road and Barney Keen Road in Lake Wales are scheduled to close at 7 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 for underground steel pipe installation work.
The roadways will be closed between Camp Mack Road and Highway 60 East until underground steel pipe installation work is completed. The roadways are expected to reopen at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 23.
Traffic will be detoured on Camp Mack Road, Mammoth Grove Road and Highway 60 East. Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
The closure is part of a Polk Regional Water Cooperative project.
